Is the term you would like to use not available in an existing controlled vocabulary? Here are some resources to getting a term added or changed in national vocabularies that Chicago Collections sources terms from:

• https://cataloginglab.org/ - A website that offers crowd-sourcing help for editing or adding terms to the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) list, or Library of Congress Name Authority File (LCNAF).

• https://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/saco/funnelsaco.html - Contact information for themed groups working on subject heading edits. If one exists for your term(s), they can be a great source of help in submitting proposals.

• https://www.geonames.org/manual.html#create - Edit or add places in the Geonames database.

• https://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/saco/FASTfun.html - Propose a term via the FAST funnel form at the link.
